JACKSON, Tenn. — Family and friends are mourning the heartbreaking loss of a man affectionately known as “Fresno Da SHoota,” who was killed in a devastating single-vehicle crash Tuesday night on the 800 block of Airways Boulevard in Jackson. According to the Jackson Police Department, the victim was one of two adult men ejected from the vehicle after it left the roadway and struck a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in Memphis.
Authorities said the vehicle was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed when it veered off the roadway and crashed head-on into a tree. The impact was so severe that the vehicle’s body separated from its frame before coming to rest in a wooded ravine. The Jackson Police Department continues to investigate the fatal crash and is asking anyone with information to contact investigators.
