The collision happened shortly before 3 a.m. on August 14 on northbound I-95 near mile marker 62.3 in Rosedale. According to Maryland State Police, a tractor-trailer had suffered a flat tire and was attempting to move toward the right shoulder when the Subaru Outback carrying Francesca struck the back of the truck.
Francesca was transported to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead from her injuries. Her husband, Gregory Lloyd, 41, who police said was driving the Subaru, was also taken to a hospital for treatment. The tractor-trailer driver was not injured.
